A Deeper background

With a diverse career spanning the IT spectrum, from helpdesk and technical support to systems administration and network engineering, I apply my extensive technical toolkit directly to sound design.My curiosity expanded into video editing for cinematic game footage, later evolving into real-time live production on Twitch. Collaborating with various creators allowed me to refine my craft and share setup optimizations. Pushing technical limits further, I successfully engineered a seamless real-time production handling 8 feeds (4 face cameras and 4 gameplay feeds) into a single Twitch broadcast, and later scaled up for a Halloween stream to host 12 remote streamers simultaneously, managing 24 simultaneous video feeds and numerous audio tracks.Whether troubleshooting networks, audio engineering, or voice acting, I continuously pursue complex technical challenges, and I'm always thinking of how it could be done better.

Why sound is special to me

There is a deeper, personal reason why audio is so incredibly special to me, and it directly shapes how I approach both acting and editing.I have aphantasia, which means I cannot visualize or envision anything in my head. My "mind's eye" is completely blank. Because I can't build visual worlds in my imagination, sound is how I experience true immersion.When I close my eyes and listen to a rich soundscape, it triggers the exact same deep feeling of escape and connection that other people get when they sit down to read a great book. I’m able to completely lose myself and feel entirely immersed in that world of audio.This lived experience completely changes how I work as a voice actor and sound designer. I don't just engineer audio to accompany a visual; I build it to be the visual. It drives me to focus on the tiny, organic sonic details that make an environment feel tangible, alive, and real for the listener.
